Directors Kim Dodson and Wendy Laidlaw have joined forces to create Orillia’s newest dance facility. Miss Kim and Miss Wendy have over 40 years of combined experience and knowledge teaching in the dance world. They have gathered their many years of experience with a united goal of helping their dancers grow in a friendly and positive dance environment. The Dance Space is a place where kids can build confidence, grow, make new friends and develop their dance skills.

Students can look forward to optional examinations in tap, jazz,  and acro following  the A.D.A.P.T and Acrobatique Syllabi. We also offer R.A.D. examinations in ballet.

The Dance Space is an inclusive dance studio offering classes to all ages and abilities. Class placement will be determined by the instructors based on ability and level of training. 

​

It is our goal and mission find the best fit for each if our dancers.

​

Our studio is equipped with sports flooring, large mirrors, sound system and barres. Our lobby has a washroom, kitchenette, and change room area.

The Dance Space offers the following programs in which each are designed with the following criteria to meet the needs of every dancer of all ages and levels.

Recreational:

For students ages 3+ who would love to take class but only want to commit to 1-2 classes per week. Dancers develop classic dance technique with barre work, combinations & across the floor progressions. Students learn a 2-3 minute routine that they perform in our year end recital for all family & friends to attend!

​

Competitive:

For students 5+ wanting to invest in more hours of training in a variety of dance disciplines. Dancers develop classic dance technique with barre work, combinations & across the floor progressions. Students learn a 2-3 minute routine in each class they register that will compete in 3 competitions as well as our year end recital.

*Mini Competition Team will perform in only one completion and recital.
